Service Canada has four new passport pick-up locations designated nationwide, according to a recent announcement from Karina Gould, minister of Families, Children, and Social Development.
The following Service Canada Centers are currently accepting passport applications and passport pick-ups for Canadians:
- Sudbury, Ontario (Sudbury Service Canada Centre)
- Lethbridge, Alberta (Lethbridge Service Canada Centre)
- Kingston, Ontario (Kingston Service Canada Centre)
- Sherbrooke, Québec. (Sherbrooke Service Canada Centre)
Four Service Canada Centers now accept applications and requests for in-person pick-up of passports from Canadians with evidence of travel, in addition to the current passport offices that already offer this service.
These four sites, as opposed to the standard Service Canada Centers, provide 10-day service, which implies that Canadians can apply for a passport there and have it ready in 10 business days, either by mail or in-person pick-up.
Canadians must go to a passport office that offers Express or Urgent pick-up service if they require their passport in fewer than 10 working days.
Many Canadians who need to pick up passports will be able to do so closer to their homes because of the expansion of pick-up locations.
Further, Service Canada is firmly committed to providing passport services to Canadians within 50 kilometres of their homes. Additionally, more scheduled outreach locations will be added nationwide to offer specific passport services in the upcoming weeks.
