2 Dead, 3 Injured In Shooting Incidents By A Man In Mississauga & Milton

A man is in arrest following gunshots in Mississauga and Milton that killed two people and wounded three more in 2 shooting incidents by same person.

The first incident was in Mississauga, where one person was murdered and another was rushed to a nearby trauma centre, according to police. Victim in this incident was a Toronto police officer.

Shooting suspect

As per Peel Regional Police, the incident happened at 2:15 p.m. on Monday near Argentia Road and Winston Churchill Boulevard. Police first stated that one person had been shot, but that number was later revised to two soon after 3:20 p.m.

At roughly 2:51 p.m., three persons were shot in the Main Street and Bronte Street area, according to police. They stated that the site had been secured and that no police officers had been shot during the incident.

At around 4:25 p.m., a “active shooter” alarm was issued by the police across the region.

After a gunshot at a Milton plaza, Halton police released a tweet looking for the same suspect.

The suspect was taken into custody, according to Halton police. They claimed one individual was declared deceased and two others were brought to the hospital.
