What Apple has confirmed
Apple’s official Ted Lasso materials currently identify season four as the latest season of the series.
The company has not published a renewal announcement, production order, release date or confirmed cast list for a fifth season.
That means there is no verified premiere date for Ted Lasso Season 5, and no official trailer or episode list is available.
Apple’s fourth-season announcement described Jason Sudeikis as returning as Ted Lasso while confirming the show’s shift toward a women’s football team at AFC Richmond.
The season also brought back familiar characters played by Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift and Brett Goldstein, while introducing several new players and staff members.
Why another season remains possible
The fourth season expanded the Ted Lasso story beyond the original three-season run and created new possibilities around AFC Richmond’s women’s team.
Ted’s return to Richmond also left the character connected to the club and its wider community, rather than closing the door permanently on his involvement.
Those story directions make another season possible, but they do not amount to a formal renewal.
Any future season would still depend on Apple, Sudeikis, the production team and the principal cast agreeing on the story, schedule and contracts.
When could Ted Lasso Season 5 arrive?
There is no confirmed release window for Ted Lasso Season 5.
If Apple eventually orders another season, production timing would likely determine whether new episodes could arrive in 2027 or later.
The fourth season itself took more than three years to follow the May 2023 conclusion of season three, demonstrating why an immediate return should not be assumed.
Apple also has not confirmed whether a potential fifth season would again consist of 10 episodes or follow a different release plan.
What fans should watch for next
The clearest sign of progress would be an announcement from Apple confirming a renewal or production order.
Official details about returning cast members, filming dates, episode numbers and a release schedule would follow only after that decision.
Until then, reports about a possible writers’ room, filming plans or a 2027 launch should be treated as unconfirmed.
For now, the fourth-season finale is the latest official chapter of Ted Lasso available on Apple TV.
