Paul Arcand has become the unexpected centre of attention in a video filmed during Céline Dion’s concert in Paris.
The Quebec broadcaster appears seated and composed while a nearby spectator enthusiastically sings along to “The Power of Love.”
The contrast between the fan’s full-throated performance and Arcand’s restrained expression has prompted a wave of amused reactions online.

Paul Arcand’s calm concert reaction gets attention
The short video was initially focused on the spectator singing behind Arcand.
His presence in the frame quickly became part of the joke, however, as viewers noticed that he remained seated while much of the surrounding audience stood and sang along.
There is no indication that Arcand was dissatisfied with the performance.
The footage captures only a brief moment during the concert, and it does not explain whether he was resting, watching quietly or simply reacting in his usual understated manner.
That uncertainty has helped fuel the humour surrounding the clip.
The scene is recognizable to many concertgoers, where audiences can include both highly animated fans and people who prefer to take in a performance quietly.
Céline Dion’s return to the Paris stage
Dion’s Paris shows mark her return to live performances after a lengthy absence.
The concert series at the Plenitude Arena includes songs from across her career in English and French.
The venue’s official schedule lists performances through Saturday, October 17, 2026.
The Paris engagement is being presented as an exclusive series of concerts for the Canadian singer.
Arcand’s appearance at the show also comes as he continues to maintain a public presence through audio and documentary projects.
His current media work includes regular podcast content connected to Cogeco Media, including a daily press-review format and longer interviews.
A lighter moment for a familiar Quebec broadcaster
Arcand has spent decades associated with news, interviews and public affairs rather than celebrity-focused entertainment.
That made the concert footage a notable departure from the subjects normally linked to his work.
The video does not reveal a new professional announcement or change to Arcand’s broadcasting plans.
Instead, it offers a brief, lighthearted glimpse of the veteran host away from the microphone.
For now, the clip’s appeal rests on a simple visual contrast: one concertgoer appears to be living every second of the song, while Arcand watches with a level of calm that viewers found instantly funny.
